Silks Restaurant - Oklahoma City

Went to Remington Park for dinner and horse races to celebrate my aunt and uncle's 58th (holy cow, it's possible?) wedding anniversary. We had a reservation for 20 people. We booked at least a week and a half in advance. Now, 20 people is a lot but it's doable and is done all the time. However we arrive and the big table that was promised to my cousin (the one who made all reservations) was no where to be found. They ended up putting us down on the very end of the restaurant in a place where they hadn't sat many others. That was nice. But we were spread out amongst 3 tables that seated 6. My math isn't great but that equals 18. The other 2 of us stood for 15 minutes until finally asking to sit at a small 2 person high top table and bar stools. This made it very difficult to enjoy everyone's company. We had one waitress who was a sweet heart. The guy that helped her wasn't much help and was rather rude when asked for help. Bread was on the table when we got there. She took drink orders and not long afterward took food orders. We ran out of drinks and bread during the hour and 15 minutes it took us to get our food. However we weren't given more bread or drink until right before the food came out. I ordered the ribeye and asparagus and it was very good. I don't know what many others ordered because we were spread out so much but 2 a my table ordered the scallops. They both said that they found the scallops to be gritty and didn't taste like scallops they had had before. My cousin's order was overlooked and came out after everyone else had finished eating. She ordered the rib eye as well but hers was not cooked correctly. She decided against sending it back however because she didn't want to wait for it any longer. She asked the guy waiter to bring out bread with her meal several times. The last time she asked the waiter lost his temper and snapped a quick hold on. When dinner was finished no one ordered dessert, not because we didn't want any, but because we had already been sitting around waiting on everything for 2.5 hours and we didn't want to wait an hour on dessert. However, we should have because we ended up waiting on our check anyways. Our checks were brought out one at a time and the first 3 people who got their's all had to send them back because they were wrong. Orders were all mixed up on tickets and things that no one even ordered were added. It finally came down to all of us having to basically go up to the register and reorder our orders so that the check would be correct. If my morals weren't so high I could have easily walked out without paying anything. Instead I was stuck paying for my meal (which was over the weird $20 per person minimum) plus 20% included gratuity for less than impressive service. Overall, my steak was good and the view of the horse races was awesome! However I won't be going back. I'll stick with one of the other restaurants in Remington Park with the same view.

We went to Silks and were 50/50 in what we thought of itInteresting menu, reasonably pricedDecent wine menu.

Don't be fooled by the photographyThe food is frozen and recookedIt's full of saltNothing is made from scratch.

The steaks are terribleFirst was substantially over cooked The second was cold with the wrong side dish.
