Joe Coffee Company - New York City

The perfect place for a long chat over coffee! The interior is cozy, awesome, and stylish. They offer a wide variety of coffees and shakes. We tried a cappuccino and cold coffee, both of which were excellent. We spent about $11 for two large coffees. It's a bit pricier than Starbucks, but definitely worth it.

The service could use some improvement. I've been there several times before work, and the staff is not very friendly. They don't greet you; instead, they just watch you and wait for you to make a request. It's a typical hipster barista vibe, which I understand, but it doesn't make for a pleasant experience. They are quite vocal about asking for tips, yet I've never heard a "thank you" in return. It feels like they expect a tip of $1 or more just for filling a cup, and they do so with a rude attitude. It's a strange place, and I’m not quite sure why it’s popular. The coffee is just average, nothing special.

The staff here is incredibly friendly, and the coffee is excellent. Don't miss trying their oat milk as a substitute for regular milk!

Amazing first experience. The latte was unbelievable and the staff is wonderful, friendly and carefully making each drink order. The environment is also pleasant and easy going. Will definitely be returning.
