Bidra med feedbackI’m sad to say Bluestone Lane seems to have declined. The food is generic prefab. They don’t have proper crockery for dining in (maybe that’s a COVID after effect). The long black is merely a strong Americano, not Australian-normal. The multigrain bread (vegemite on toast) was ok but supermarket style. At least the service at Astor Place was consistently very good over several visits.
Please do not go here if you are from Australia, coffee feral with burnt milk, hot choc tastes like dirt! They don’t have sugar so they offer simple syrup in hot drinks! Only Aussie thing was the Vegemite but even then they didn’t provide butter ! You have to spread this yourself and of course the bread is cold at this point and the butter hasn’t melted! Staff had no clue at all what was going on with some chick sitting at a table with her feet on another stool chilling out for the morning. Do yourself a favour and AVOID! What once used to be a great cafe has had a huge fall from grace!
We ordered gluten free avocado toast on Uber eats and they sent us two croissants…. We have celiac disease. The labels on the croissants even say what they’re supposed to be
The baristas are so nice and very welcoming. The food is a bit on the pricy end but the ambience is great. Good lighting, nice seating area, great place to go for cafe hopping or studying!
Great little cafe. My friend and I were a little obnoxious--my app order wasn't working; we both had issues with our coffee orders; got up to ask for water cups/outlets--but the staff were always polite and helpful, even as the cafe filled up. Very professional and a great oat milk latte and banana toast
