The New Amity - New York

I live two blocks away and have been coming here since I was a little kid. One of my favorite restaurants/ diners in NYC. The staff is wonderful and they make the best burger in the city! Ignore all the negative reviews! They’re all trolls talking about some blue beanie!

Absolutely amazing Gem located in the heart of NYC! I struggled to find a sit down breakfast place for a group of 4 so when I came across this place, I of course went straight to the reviews! PLEASE DO NOT BE DISCOURAGED by the reviews!!!! This lovely restaurant has 4.4 stars On Facebook! I ordered the pancakes, scrambled eggs, and bacon. The pancakes were fluffy and cooked to perfection, the bacon crispy and taste amazing, the eggs were fluffy and delightful. I also had a glass of orange juice that was just how I liked it PULPY which is hard to find! And an Cup of coffee that was served in a glass cup on a saucier. We were greeted by smiles and greetings as soon as we stepped in the door. Definitely a must visit if wanting a good family owned home cooked breakfast!!!

Staff was super friendly. Many of the customers were obviously regulars. I was happy to find a cozy spot to get out of the cold and enjoy a tuna melt.

Excellent service and gyros, one of the best places to go if you’re visiting. Very kind owner and waitstaff.
