This restaurant is closed, and from the window it looks like it's closed for a long time. Why is it still listed on OpenTable?
The restaurant was closed and closed when we arrived. Of course we'll never go there again.
Disclaimer: It was Valentine's day and they seemed to boot short staff. And yes, this place was quiet enough for conversations. But: Only Prix Fixe dinner available. No other menu. Numerous ducks and desserts were sold out at 9:00 pm Shrimp Cocktail: Limp, small, tasteless shrimps and a few teaspoons of cocktail sauce. Pig fillet mignon: tepid, fed, tasteless. Chicken breast: equal: tough, temp, dry, unpleasant. Volcano cake: ok but accompanying ice cream was ridden with ice crystals and low on taste. Other more attractive decisions were sold out. The baguette and butter were good. The waiter was overworked and looked gross. They tried hard, but the kitchen part of the meal was very disappointing.
I have never written a bad review of a restaurant for Open Table, and was debating whether to now. I don't want to spoil someone's business, but the thought of another going to this restaurant without this review written would hurt my fellow diners. I had optimism upon choosing this restaurant. The reviews by previous diners made me feel it should be a good experience. Perhaps eating there on a Monday was the problem. But a fine restaurant should be great any day they are open and live up to those standards. The food was atrocious, and many dishes we first ordered from the menu were not available including French Onion Soup, a staple of French restaurants. And the food we did choose and was available tasted like leftovers from the weekend. Management there should be ashamed of themselves. One of the most terrible meals all three of us ever had. I feared getting ill from eating the food there, but thank goodness didn't. DON"T EVER WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY AT THIS RESTAURANT. The ambiance wasn't good either. We should have turned around after walking in. The air itself had a noticeable stale odor. It was a total waste of money, as we left most we were served on our plates. The one good thing was the lovely young woman who was our server. Skip this one at all costs.
