Bidra med feedbackWent for restaurant week. $45 was a really good deal for 3 courses. Get the flatbread as well. So worth it for $6. The $15 lamb shank supplement was also really worth it (massive portion size and super tender and rich). Such a great time.
A friend and I tried Dagon for Restaurant Week. Even with the Restaurant Week menu, portion sizes were good, and the price point was unbeatable! It was pretty busy on a Thursday evening, but the service was attentive. I ordered the cauliflower, tuna, and silan while my friend opted for the hummus, schnitzel and cheesecake. The tuna was delicious, and the artichokes made for a nice flavor combination. The Silan was unlike anything I’d ever tried before. It had a crispy and light topping with either ice cream or some sort of soft jelly/pudding on the inside. The taste kind of reminded me of chikki (an Indian sweet). With all the restaurants NYC has to offer, my friend and I both agreed we would come back to Dagon!
Came here for restaurant week. Had the hummus the salmon and cheesecake. The price point is good the hummus was the best thing I ate there. The salmon tasted very weird with the purple cabbage and sauce, it lacked a lot of flavor. It was also served cold and not cooked well. Thankfully I was able to get a replacement that was done better. The dessert cheesecake I had the consistency was very off as well. It was not smooth but more of a curd tasting cheese. The service was just ok. Happy I experienced this restaurant but would not make a return.
Wow. What an amazing NYC Restaurant Week dining experience. Dagon delivers intimate charm, a presentable staff and a delicious menu to the upper west side. Notably, the hummus and the crispy lamb are big recommendations from me.
Great service and delicious food with fair price, we will definitely come back.
