Lagusta's Luscious Commissary!

After staying at a nearby hotel overnight, I am always anxious to try new restaurants. However, I cannot wait to come back here! The waffles and macaroni and cheese were absolutely incredible.

If I lived in the area, I would definitely make this café my regular spot. It's absolutely wonderful, and I found myself returning multiple times. The drinks were fantastic, and the atmosphere was warm and inclusive. They offer a variety of delicious local dishes. One unique feature is a wall where customers can pay it forward and write on small round coupons. Many of the coupons are for independent black artists or entrepreneurs, as well as members of the LGBTQ community. The café also has an all-gender bathroom, composting equipment, and their products are locally sourced and reasonably priced. I could have easily spent an entire day and my whole paycheck there if given the chance!

I recently visited this restaurant and was pleasantly surprised by how nice it was. I enjoyed the selection of local beer and Lagusta Luscious chocolate. I was a bit disappointed that some items on the menu were not available, but the staff were very helpful in recommending tasty vegan options instead. We ended up having a fantastic vegan meal in Kingston thanks to their suggestions. I will definitely be returning!

Best cafe ever! Amazing coffee, chocolates, and a small but delicious list of noshes that should not be missed. Don't miss the Mitzvah board full of community coupons, the DF Mac n' Cheese, Socialist Sliding Scale soup, waffles, and my favorite chocolate: the tahini meltaway. Also home to an anarchist zine library, local/ethical gift shop, and the best spot to bring a laptop and get some work done.
