The Kolache Kitchen - New Orleans

We decided to check out this restaurant after the pizza place down the street turned out to be incredibly crowded due to a Pi Day promotion. Luckily for us, our change in plans led us to discover this gem. The restaurant is absolutely fantastic! Being family-owned, it offers a diverse and innovative menu at great prices, and the freshly prepared dishes are simply extraordinary. We tried a couple of different kolaches and a smoked sausage taco, and each one was remarkable. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, and the restaurant is kept impeccably clean. The owners were on-site and very warm and friendly. We left feeling very happy and completely satisfied, and we will definitely be returning as enthusiastic repeat customers.

We tried two boudain kolaches, one spicy and one regular, along with a brisket taco. They were just okay. Unfortunately, there’s nowhere to sit and eat inside, except for two tables outside.

Missed the mark unfortunately. I stopped in the midst of a busy day and wanted to fulfill my taste for kolaches! I lived in Houston the last 3 years and Shipley?s was my go to for them (when I lived in New Mexico and Arkansas, they were well known for them as well) Anywho, the bread to the meat ratio was completely off. I can understand that the size of the meat can?t be helped but why did it seem as if only a few pieces of shredded cheese was on the meat? ?it wasbasically hollow. No seating inside although there is adequate space for at least two tables. I think having a couple of tables inside would encourage consumers to purchase more than once during their visit. I was on a time constraint dueto the nature of my job and customer service was a bit slow. I wasn?t acknowledged by, who I?m assuming is the cook. Since no one was at the counter, it would have been nice to be acknowledged as I stood there for 5 minutes. Again, I reallywanted the kolaches. So..just some things to think about..I guess.

This is a great place for a quick breakfast! It's clean, has excellent service, and is reasonably priced—plus, the food is delicious. I really enjoyed the tacos. The restaurant is situated in a lively area filled with coffee shops as well.

The food is delicious and well prepared, the staff makes the experience. The ladies are always super nice and fast about getting your order correct and out quickly. The better of the two locations.
