Bidra med feedbackWe visited when they were open. It is the oldest building outside of the city's historic district. The Christmas menu featured a dish with duck, turkey, and chicken, accompanied by a delicious dressing on the side. We also tried and enjoyed the lamb leg and beef tenderloin. The locally sourced fresh fish was also quite tasty.
My party was the only one in the restaurant. The owner had to leave to get ice, causing a delay of over 30 minutes for our cocktails and ice tea. The service was lacking and the waiter was sweating on the food. The fish was cold and the steak was flavorless. All dishes, which were very limited, came with either red beans or jambalaya. It was a disappointing experience and I would not recommend this restaurant. It's no surprise that we were the only customers there.
I have lived near this restaurant for the past year and finally visited a couple of weeks ago. The atmosphere was excellent and the building itself was charming (the owner mentioned it is the second oldest building in New Orleans). The food was amazing and my girlfriend really enjoyed it. We tried the fried green tomatoes which were the best we have ever had.
We were the only party in the entire restaurant. There was no ice so the owner had to leave to go get ice which took in excess of min for our party to receive cocktails and ice tea. Would not recommend. No wonder no one else was in the restaurant
