Always a gem. Both Vietnamese and Creole under one roof. Civilized, intelligent staff, well-curated wine list, half price bargains at lunch MTW. The kitchen can pull off whatever the menu or staff offer. In my top five everyday list for years.
Excellent French and Asian Options. Everything fresh, delish, well presented! I had a sublime Crab, Avocado and Tomato Napoleon as an appetizer, and a perfectly cooked Veal Chop; both specials that night. I highly recommend; will definitely be back!
Another great visit. We always seem to do Saturday nights, and arriving just past 8 has proven to be good if you want to avoid some of the crowd. This night there were a few more empty tables than usual. Service was great from the start with cocktails and fun chatter about the bars' bourbon offerings. After drinks we enjoyed two appetizers, the trio meat satay, and an Italian sausage stuffed mini-peppers off the menu special. We've had both before and are happy to report that these are just fantastic. For entrees we had a repeat of the Grilled Shrimp Salad and a dinner special Braised Lamb Shank with Wild Mushroom Risotto. Again, standard high grades fro the salad, but that lamb shank was really impressive. Oh so tender and with a great sauce. The risotto was perhaps just a tad dry on it's own but seemed just right as it was plated well with the sauce. I can't imagine that I would ever pass this up if its on the menu when I visit again. Key Lime Pie and Vietnamese coffee finished things up for us. Pie was a good 7.5/10 with presentation a 9.5/10. The coffee was a bit different, but that's why we tried, and it was, well, different. I wouldn't order it at other places but here it seemed right, and I'm sure I'll be here again having another cup some time. With a lighter crowd the ambiance was really great for a nice relaxing meal. This was our best visit here so far.
I know it was New Year's Eve but grown adults were making loud noise with noise makers at 8pm while other guest at different tables were still trying to enjoy their dinner. Keep in mind to me it's only 8pm. I am all about about partying but there is a place and time for all things .
