Harvest Wine Bar And Restaurant New Haven

This place was great. Food was tasty. The dining room was LOUD (perhaps the 3 Christmas parties had something to do with it? The staff was attentive and helpful. What a hidden treasure.

The atmosphere is great and the menu has a wide variety of items. Service was good. But the food was unfortunately not impressive at all. We got two appetizers and two main meals, and all four dishes were mediocre. They lacked flavor and were just very basic. We got the Brussels sprout salad, lobster bisque, hanger steak and ricotta gnocchi. For the price it was just not worth it. There are so many restaurants in New Haven with better quality food for the same price or less. I was sad because it’s a pretty restaurant and I really wanted to like it despite some of the other reviews, but it just was not great. Save your money, maybe go for a drink at the bar here to enjoy the atmosphere.

A very pleasant place for lunch with old friends with delicious food, good servive and excellent value in a quiet atmosphere that made conversation easy.

Well, it started bad, could not have us 30 minutes despite our reservation. the personal was something apologetic, but nothing else. the menu had a beautiful eclectic Mediterranean mix, and the cocktail list looked great. the appetizer came out quickly, unfortunately, from the sequence. the appetizers were well executed and tasted super. the escaped were another story. excellent duck breast, accompanied by par-cooked Brussel sprouts, and a dimensional lamb with pasta lacked in intensity. the manager even came by once, but didn't seem interested in getting us back. Oh, good.

Calling it a wine bar is a bit of a misnomer. No flights and a very small wine list. Food was excellent and good sized portions. Interesting cocktail menu. We both said we would come back, but at the same time, not really much of a wine place.
