East Rock Coffee - New Haven

Wow, mindblowingly rude. Barista ignored me to chat with the patron who walked in after me. I decided to try to kill with kindness, but he didn 't even say you 're welcome when I said thank you. I honestly wish I had recorded the interaction because I felt like it couldn 't possibly be happening. I know that when people treat others with such inexplicable unkindness it 's generally about them, and I hope the young man working at noon today can access therapy to get the help he needs, but it also kind of sucks as a patron, you know?Yes, the coffee is decent, but the eggs for the breakfast sandwiches are premade and baked goods are abysmal. The chai comes from a box, by the way. Tough look. Maybe I 'm too old but I just have a lower tolerance for sanctimonious vibes these days.

Nice little coffee shop in a cute area of east Haven. Coffee is 4/5 nice flavor, a tad bitter but in a good way. A few baked gods in the case. Limited seating inside and a small front deck, the noise from the air system next door is a little annoying but otherwise cool

Big fan of ERC. Great coffee and the staff are awesome. Shout-out to Dave and Sydney for caffeinating the community as long as they have. Hoping they bring back beloved menu items. Cheers!

Convenient location in East Rock next to P&M market. There is very limited seating inside, but there is a lot of seating shared with the market.Be prepared to wait if you don't order ahead, their online ordering system is easy to use and I recommend doing that and then heading over if you don't have time to wait. Baristas are really friendly and both hot and iced options are great!! They always say hi even when I am picking up an online order.
