Adriana's - New Haven

I can't sing enough praise from this place! our first time to eat here, we were treated like old friends. we decided to dine outside as the inner was pretty packed. our waiter, carlo, made sure that we felt comfortable, made wonderful suggestions for our dinner. brot and refreshments were taken out immediately after sitting, we were served very quickly afterwards. each plate was wonderfully portioned and deliciously prepared. a plate of spaghetti bags was enough to feed our 3 children that we brought to home to celebrate for at least 2 days! we had also ordered orecchiette rapa e salsiccia orecchiette with broccoli rave and sausages) totecca di manzo alla griglia marinated grilled rib eye w/sauteed vegetables mashed kartoffeln) a nice plate of parpadelle alastico parpadelle with lobster meat, artichoke herzene I'm not a drink or food critic, but I can't imagine going elsewhere for Italian dishes! Now idk, if this has something to do with the facility, but I can't forget to mention that when it came time for billing, carlo told us that another patron had paid for our meal including a drink! we were grateful, my man was even brought to drink. the gentleman who had gone so before we could thank him. So wherever they are friendly, they have made the night of our family adriana new, lifelong customers!

Always a great meal and service never disappointed! next time it won't be so long between the visits!

What an amazing meal and great experience here! The staff was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I love linguini and clams but this was on another level. Honestly one of the best meals I've ever had!

Meals are HUGE! Very well presented. Service was great. Elizabeth was excellent. She was very on top of the whole meal. My water glass never hit the bottom and I drink alot of water. The bread was hot and fresh. The pepper/onion was addicting ! And this tiramisu in the picture!!! THE BEST EVER!!!! Worth going just for that! Oh and Elizabeth makes a mean cappuccino! Perfect, foamy, hot and delicious like it should be!! Get that too!

First time visiting this highly regarded New Haven eatery. First off- the Server was the most cordial menu- knowledgeable of servers I have experienced. The whole family warmed up to him immediately. Great Job Frank! The portion sizes are ginormous at Adriana's. Love this! I had Gamberi Panceta with fresh sauted spinach. It was good, maybe serve some juice/ butter to re-moisten the tightly pancetta wrapped shrimp. After seeing everyone else's pasta dishes- My fault I should have ordered a diff entree. The Boston Creme Pie was delicious- more like a BC Cake (had a cheesecake textured bottom layer). Was not happy with the squash flowers appetizer- the flowers might as well have been left out because the thick fried batter shells and creamy cheese stuffing overpowered the delicate flowers. Possibly a much lighter batter on these beautiful flowers would be true to these special garden treats? In closing- if you haven't eaten at Adriana's- move it to the top of your list. If you have- go again, and again to explore another one of the vast menu's selections. Bon apetito!
