The Bistro - New Glasgow

We read the reviews and decided to eat at The Bistro our first night in New Glasgow...we were so glad we did! Lovely service and food...and a perfect martini!We had lamb skewers to start and then fish.....both very good...we hoe to get back for one more meal before we leave here!!

Food was delicious and portions, just right. Staff was amazing, Heather is so sparkling with a friendly glow. Highly recommended

The restaurant is clean and small but cozy feeling not cramped. The owners are doing the cooking and service so they are attentive and helpful I found the menu had plenty of choices and it was tasty.

We frequent this restaurant quite regularly. We always receive the best in service and never leave unsatisfied. I would recommend this restaurant to any and all who have a chance to visit this establishment

I am fortunate enough with my lot in life, to travel extensively and have the income to afford to go to very good restaurants. This restaurant is as good as anywhere despite being in the small community which I have always referred to as my home town despite living out in the country twenty miles away. The staff has always gone out of their way to accommodate me on short notice. I choose the place because of the outstanding quality of the food, the staff and their art displays promoting artists in their own community. By sheer chance, several years back when celebrating an early Christmas event with my mother, sister and my mother's outstanding care provider, Linda Olding, there was an art display by Jay Oullette whom I had not heard of before and had moved to Pictou County from Toronto. Her work was outstanding and I have gone on to buy several of her masterpieces one of which I will soon see displayed in the National Gallery of Canada as long as they promise to keep it on display and not in storage. I would have never met this amazing artist otherwise except for their promotion of her work.
