Bidra med feedbackI went to this restaurant for a birthday dinner and was left feeling disappointed. The lasagna was extremely cheesy and had a strange watery sauce collecting in the corners. Myself and another member of our party who also ordered the lasagna couldn't even finish it. The coleslaw on the side was inedible, consisting of mostly mayonnaise, onion, and strange seasoning. How do you mess up coleslaw? The macaroni and cheese was also terrible - overcooked noodles in a watery cheese sauce. I will not be returning to this restaurant.
Upon arriving at the restaurant, we were immediately skeptical of our choice due to the unappealing interior of the pub. However, we decided to give it a chance. Despite ordering simple burgers, it took over 30 minutes for our food to be served, even though it was early in the evening at 5:15. When the food finally arrived, it was evident that the quality was poor. The burger contained gristle and the coleslaw was unpleasant, tasting as if it had been reheated in the microwave. To make matters worse, the total cost for 2 adult meals, a child's meal, and soft drinks came to £45.
The murder mystery event was fantastic. Everyone dressed in 1920s attire and the atmosphere was amazing. The food was delicious, and it was a fantastic evening of entertainment and dining.
This was our go too when in the area and a very much looked forward to trip. What has happened ?? The food was very disappointing, I shared a platter which I have done in the past. When it turned up it looked like an iceland special but not at all special. Cheap deep-fried nastiness. We also had cheese pasta lacking cheese and flavour. A pizza that was a cheap supermarket own. Nothing like the past home cooked delights we have had. Very disappointed.
What on earth has happened to he pub. It used to be a place we ranted and raved about due to the amazing food we used to have. Everything just feels like cheap freezer food now and I would like it to go back to the way it was please. I had cheese pasta and it was literally plain pasta with some mozzarella dumped in top. Overall just really saddened me to see a great pub with fantastic food go downhill
