The Standard

Absolute perfection. From start to finish, perfection. The food, atmosphere, and service were outstanding. Jason is particularly amazing. Although I'm traveling alone, he made me feel right at home and checked on me regularly. Just amazing. I've lived all over the world and this is by far my favorite restaurant, without question. I'm coming back with a whole bunch of my Navy friends. We're already looking for a spot on the calendar to make it happen. Well played, Standard. We'll be seeing you very soon. ??

The Standard in Nashville offers a dining experience that is nothing short of extraordinary. Accompanying the steak was the cream corn, which was simply to die for. Rich and creamy, it provided a delightful contrast to the robust flavors of the steak. The corn was sweet and fresh, and the dish had a smooth texture that made it incredibly comforting and satisfying. For dessert, the half-baked cookie was the perfect ending to a fantastic meal. Paired with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, it was a nostalgic treat that brought a smile to our faces. The service at The Standard was impeccable, adding to the overall exceptional dining experience. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, ensuring that every need was met promptly and courteously. Their recommendations were spot-on, and they went above and beyond to make the evening special.

The restaurant is the perfect place to celebrate something special. We had the fried green tomatoes, lump crab bisque, grilled rack of lamb, and cheese grits. The fried green tomatoes and cheese grits were ok. The lump crab bisque and grilled rack of lamb were excellent. It was my daughter's birthday so they gave her a delicious complementary dessert. The service and ambiance are top notch. We would definitely return but try different menu items.

It was my girlfriends birthday, the waiter had a attitude and was far from professional when I was asking about the menu, I let it slide then he was rude to my girl, I told the manager, they told us they would take care of us and they didn't. I don't care about getting “taken care of” but it was the principle that counts. 2 out of 5.

We finally got a reservation at the Standard. We started with drinks while reviewing the menu. We nibbled on the two recommended appetizers ... lobster bisque and calamari. Both were fantastic! We ordered a variety of entrees, pasta carbonara, pork chops, and more. The food was terrific, service very good, and the atmosphere was phenomenal. It is in the only remaining city townhouse in Nashville. It's a beautiful old home that is truly historic and breathtaking. The guys ordered some fantastic old fashions. We'd definitely go back!!
