Romano's Macaroni Grill

When we arrived, the place wasn’t too busy, and we were seated right away. Our server was excellent, which is the main reason I’m giving the restaurant three stars instead of one. He was friendly and engaging. We quickly got our drinks and placed our orders for soup and salad. We chose the Lobster Bisque, a salad, and mozzarella sticks. The sticks came out first and were delicious, although the marinara dipping sauce was a bit too spicy for my taste. Then came the soup, but it was lukewarm—almost cold—and had no pieces of lobster in it. I understand that different places have their unique styles, but this didn’t taste like lobster bisque at all. When we mentioned this to our server, he was very accommodating and offered to heat it up. We requested that he not use the microwave, and he found another way to warm it up. He handled it very well and apologized multiple times, which we appreciated. We assured him it wasn’t his fault.

I dined at Macaroni Grill for dinner and then returned for lunch on Monday. I started with the Caprese Salad as an appetizer, and it was excellent. For my main dish, I enjoyed the seafood ravioli with shrimp, which was delightful. The bread was incredible! My meal also featured a tomato basil soup, and I think I also had the seafood bisque and chicken marsala.

I can’t recommend the Macaroni Grill highly enough! The food is simply delicious, and the service is exceptional. If you visit, be sure to request Levi—he’s the best server you could ask for! Everyone, from the hostess to the cooks, was incredibly warm and welcoming. The atmosphere was wonderfully relaxing, and Levi ensured that each dish was served at the perfect time. The salads were delightfully crisp and chilled, and the Tomato Bisque soup had a wonderful consistency. The noodles were cooked to perfection, al dente and not at all mushy. And the arrabbiata sauce? It's absolutely fantastic!

The food was excellent, and the service was outstanding as well. However, seating was quite limited due to a shortage of staff. Our waiter did a fantastic job, despite being clearly overworked. I recommend making reservations to ensure you have a seat.

Our server, who also happened to be the manager, seemed to be juggling a lot. He was busy and frazzled, but somehow maintaining his composure. My friends and I couldn’t help but feel a bit sorry for him. On the positive side, the pasta we had was delicious! We also loved the endless Caesar salads and bread, which were a welcome distraction during the long wait for our food (again, referring to the salmon incident). I hope they find the help they need soon, as this experience could have easily warranted a much lower rating.
