I had an amazing discovery during my short trip to the East Coast. Although the selection of Kava was limited, the quality was exceptional and the tea was brewed to perfection for the price. The decor was tasteful and not overly done. The hospitality and service were outstanding, especially thanks to Dan who was a fantastic host. If I could, I would give this place 6 stars.

This is my first Google review, but I am happy to say it is for Root Awakening in Nashua, NH! First, the not so great part... On Friday, January 26th, my boyfriend and I tried to stop in around 8:30 pm, but we ended up leaving because we were never acknowledged. The man behind the bar made eye contact, but seemed preoccupied. Despite this, we heard wonderful things about the place and decided to give it another try. We visited on Thursday night, February 1st before our flight home on Friday, and we are so glad we did! The woman, Stacy (spelling unsure), explained kava to us and was extremely enthusiastic, which made us excited as well. We were given samples of kava and local kombucha before trying our kava drinks. Stacy spoke highly of the owner and her passion for the business and products left us wanting more. We spent a couple of hours there, watching people come and go, some staying for hours. It was clear that this place is a safe space and a home for many. Stacy took care of each customer like family, knowing their orders before they even sat down. Despite being busy, she never missed a beat and we never felt ignored. We are planning to move to New England in the next year or so, and Root Awakening will be our hangout spot, along with their new location in Worcester, MA. The drinks are delicious, and if you don't see something you like on the menu, they can create something based on your preferences. The establishment is spacious, with couches, tables, and room to work on your laptop. The bar is a good size, and everyone is friendly. We have already recommended it to our friends in the area. Hollistics don’t usually work on me unless they are of the utmost potency and quality. I drove an hour and a half away to try this. After several times I’ve tried kava and failed, my stop here was the one that changed everything. EXCELLENT customer service. Johnny took care of me and my wife, made sure to explain EVERY detail. I WILL be coming back to try to play with my band, and I’m stoked to hear they are opening one in worcester. Please check this place out!
