Café Modern

The service at Cafe Modern was perfection. Our server was attentive without being intrusive. She was knowledgeable about the menu. I took her suggestion and ordered the artichoke poblano sandwich— she was right! It was a wonderful blend of flavors. The lunch crowd on a Tuesday was light, but as more diners arrived, the noise level did rise. The austere, hard surfaces do make voices carry. It did not bother us, but people with who get overwhelmed by ambient sound levels might want to take precautions thinking of neurodivergent friends . We had a table near the windows, and enjoyed the serene view of the water feature and sculptures.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars! The food was wonderful and the service was out of this world! I went for a solo birthday dinner and they made me feel so happy and special. I really appreciate the team, they clearly care about the guests and their craft.

Food was great overall for my part. Had the artichokes for starter and then the eggs and hippie toast, which is awesome. For brunch there does need to be a seafood/fish option without pork or beef or chicken in it. We had three pescatarians in our group who were underwhelmed with options for them. Waitstaff are great too, but they seemed understaffed. We waited an hour for our main courses so there was obviously some problem in the kitchen as well.

Terrific food with a variety of options to suit anyone's taste. Served kindly and promptly with a gorgeous view of the reflecting pond. We will visit again any time we come to Fort Worth.

I thoroughly enjoyed the most delicious omelette and arugula salad. Sitting on the patio was such a treat since it was a lovely day.
