Rice and Lake Thai restaurant

We dined in at this restaurant after reading previous reviews. It lived up to the hype. The usual Thai offerings are there but also some authentic and interesting dishes. The betel leaves were seriously moorish. The chicken larb salad was sensational. The hokkien noodle dish came with lots of fresh vegetables and was excellent. The prices are very reasonable especially considering the quality. It gets busy so booking is advised. The food was so good we went twice in a week.

This restaurant was recommended to us and we booked for 16 people. On entering, it seemed small and that they had not set the table for us. However, most of the dining area is at the back and our table was set. We had the $37 banquet and all the food was superb with generous serves. The service was excellent, very quick, and gas heaters most welcome on a cold night. Thoroughly recommend this restaurant. They were very accommodating, as we changed our booking at 3pm in the afternoon from the next day to the day of phoning.

We eat take away from here regularly and the quality is so consistent; never had a meal that wasn't awesome. Have only eaten in the actual restaurant a couple of times, but the outdoor area at the back is great, especially on warm days evenings. Staff are friendly and efficient.

We went here twice last week with different couples. Got to try a heap of different dishes that we wouldn’t normally have ordered. All dishes were generous in portion size and packed with authentic Thai flavors. Service is ok both nights we went were very busy but they coped quiet well. BYO wine but beers on menu are $6 7 so fairly reasonable. Recommended!

This restaurant is the best the food the service and good all round laughter and chit chat with the waiters. Its a fantastic place for all ages including the little ones. Ensure you book to secure a table out the back to enjoy the lake views. We have been several times and have never been disappointed. Go for it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
