Bidra med feedbackStarted ordering from Five Star Thai in February 2023 nearly every Monday night. At first they were AMAZING. Best Pad Thai, my daughter's favourite curry puffs, catered to my allergies (anaphylactic to meat and dairy), lovely staff. Then recently the venue went downhill. They mixed up our orders and refused to accept that what we got was not what we had ordered (I let in slide the first time but on the 2nd time tried to address it with them and they did not believe me) They refused to believe they got it wrong. Denied that we ordered and paid for extra broccoli and got it one week (it was great) but the next week gave us something different and said no you did not get extra broccoli last time. The Pad Thai is no longer great it was mushy with no peanuts included one week but restaurant denied that was possible and assured us there were peanuts (none my husband, daughter or I could find). Such a poor customer service response from them when I finally addressed the decline in quality and the incorrect orders. I had recommended Five Star Thai Narrabeen over the last five months but now I will no longer be eating there due to the decline in quality and service and I can no longer recommend them. Such a shame.
Pleasant restaurant with helpful staff. Only a small lip at the entrance but no steps. Cheap lunch specials with large portions. Gluten free was no problem. Nice lunch.
The owner of restaurant was very rude to me. I asked for the menu and she replied that I could go up to her and look at the menu. I was offered lunch for 14. I ordered tom yum soup and she asked me if I would like seafood or meat. I pick seafood. I also ordered takeaway chicken wings. The woman provided two different bills where she counted 0.70 cents the top of each bill. When I asked for sauce and lemon, she said that it’s already added to the dish and they don’t have lemons. It was so hot inside because the owner did not want to turn on the air conditioner, I decided takeaway food. Madame told me to pay 0.50 cents per container, cash. I didn’t have cash and she asked to pay by card for 0.80 cents per container. My lunch cost me from 14.00 dollars to 30 dollars. Tom yum soup full of noodles and 3 prawns cost me 3.00 on top. It ripped off and poor food quality.
Fresh authentic dishes, the soft shell chilli crab was delicious and generous serving. Ordered the beef green curry with perfectly cooked veggies and a very aromatic sauce. Good selection of wines (Penfolds/Taylor’s etc) at a good price. Cozy atmosphere.
Extremely poor service and worst customer experience ever. Ordered for dine in at 7pm, told to wait for 30mins for a fried fish and soft shell crabs. After 1hr, order was followed up and the lady said “i don’t know and i told you it will be long” NO comment and waited. Saw other customers very upset of long wait, surely more than an hour as were there before us. Despite of long waits, the shop kept on receiving phone call orders. 9pm came our order. Told the waitress/chef kindly have the foods for take away, ask for takeaway boxes and obviously have forgotten. Overall experience was the worst dining. No apologies given. Rude and dishonest. Customers looking unhappy waiting. The place was dirty and filthy as no one clean the tables after the group of customers. Hopefully this will not happen to the owner and workers of this shop/resto or to anyone at all.
