Comm Cucina Mamma - Napoli

The restaurant is very simple but they serve very well prepared typical food from Naples tradition. Q/P ratio unbeaten!!!

This place represents Napoli. You can see old Neapolitan stuff all around you that are very closely tied with the culture of the place. In fact you must notice the name of the place: Comm ' and not Come , comm ' is the come means how in Neapolitan. I was there a few days ago for a dinner with my friends and the farfalla-pasta was delicious. I would surely like to visit that place again, it 's cheap but no compromise with the quality of the food and humor, yes, people there are really funny and happy people, you will not stop laughing..trust me : you will come back with a sweet piece of Napoli in your heart and that will stay there forever !

We got a table on spec, but early and had lovely gnocchi and fish, while the someone fed their kid with cartoons on at the next table. As they filled up they kind of forgot about us and it took a while to pay. It is worth knowing a bit of italian in here as the dishes are specialised and all in italian... Part of the fun.

This road side outlet is located very close to Piazza Gaetano, near the archaeological underground city of Naples. Mamma will feed you the best for a 5 euro meal. This will include a two course meal along with a side dish. The portions were lavish for a meal priced this small. So we were given a choice for every course. The first course was an option in between pasta and risotto in pasta we had a choice between tomato based sauce and pasta with baked red beans. The second course was a choice in steak (chicken/pork) and fish, side dish included mushrooms, grilled vegetables and french fries. I selected pasta with baked beans and fish, it was surely worth the 5 euros, and surprisingly ate more than the earlier 20 euro meals. Cheers to Mamma and her cooking.

They don't speak english and the selection was limited...But the pasta with meat sauce we ended up with was good! Not sure they like Americans anywhere in Naples and I got the sense they were talking about us but this was a good value for a quick lunch on the street.
