Nice French restaurant. We had Tuna tartare as an appetizer and it was on site. Dinner Entree consisted of salmon that was perfectly cooked with a thin crunchy outside. We also tried the Prime French Dip, which was one of the best diving sandwiches I had in the awhile.
We took our time for dinner, starting with an espresso and led in oysters (healthy deal at Happy Hour, and some of the best I had). We chose a white wine from the Happy Hour menu and were very satisfied with it. The melon salad was excellent as well as the gazpacho! I loved the onion soup and my husband got the other dish I can't remember the name. We caught the meal with a brook brûlée that was not disappointed! The staff was excellent and made the meal one to remember. Very recommended to try this place, especially during Happy Hour or if you can jump for dinner. It's worth the price.
This is one of two restaurants served by Chef Vincenzo Betulia on 5th Avenue in Naples (Osteria/Bar Tulia is the other). The surroundings are casual but romantic, back to a turn of the century Parisian brasserie with interior and exterior seating. There is a band (The Dan Heck Trio) playing on Sunday (not sure on other days). The food is excellent, all ingredients are fresh and high quality (see the pictures) many dishes and pastries are handmade in house. One of the things we noticed during our last visit is that they need to filter the water properly. We had eaten in another local facility that (must have) used tap water for the iced tea and the soup... and you could say it. Here we noticed that the water also transfers to food, which seems obvious, but unfortunately there are many other facilities that do not pay attention to such details. No cutting corners here, everything is always top Notch. The only thing that could be improved from time to time is that sometimes the waiting staff is not as attentive as they could be, but that happens from time to time everywhere you go and it was never terrible. If the level of staff was increased to the level of food, this restaurant would be excellent to absolutely amazing!
