Bidra med feedbackI've been bleeding. probably one of the top sushi restaurants I've ever eaten.
Great server and friendly staff, but none of the dishes were very unforgettable. the avocado in our rolling was completely immature (company) we had high hopes for this place, but probably will not go back soon.
Hiroshi was wonderful, my only difference was that the wagyu was mostly sinful and incredibly chewing. I guess the cut wasn't the biggest. I would also recommend you stop by.
Tried the holiday tasting menu, $128 for 8 courses. Their normal 7course menu is $98. The extra dish in our menu was a thimble size cup of sunomo. If this is the reason for the $30 upcharge it is quite upsetting since it was basically 1 bite of low cost ingredients that I saw them pull from a deli container from the fridge. 1st course: warm egg custard with a gelatinized dashi broth on top. Very tasty, very silky 2nd course: the offensive sunomono 3rd course: 3 hamachi pieces a small side of boxed spring mix both seasoned with ponzu lemon zest. The seasoning was excellent, salad was underdressed. 4th course: 3 pieces of shrimp, lotus broccoli tempura with a very salty, very fishy kombu side dish. Tempura was mediocre, batter was kind of soggy. The broccoli looked like it was dipped in mashed potatoes and then fried but I suspect it was undercooked batter. 5th course: miso soup with parsley topping had an interesting sweetness. The small cubes of tofu had good flavor. 6th course: small omakase sushi box w diced cucumber and tamago, 2-3 small pieces each of salmon, hamachi, tuna (very thin small), and fish roe. My least favorite, way too much rice, the small dices were hard to eat, fish weren’t super flavorful and the roe was extremely fishy 7th course: chef’s signature dish; grilled miso cod with a cheesy sauce and parmesan topping. The sauce was mild and quite good but the topping was wayyy too strong and pungent. Overall the cod was well seasoned and cooked perfectly that it was one of my favorite dishes. 8th course: a very tart yuzu citrus shaved ice, with candied citrus peel. I liked it a lot but it may be too sour for some. TL;DR For 2 chef tasting menus no drinks the total came out to be over $300. While the presentation and ambience was very nice, I did not find great value in the food (quality and size). I really only enjoyed half the dishes, and we left debating to get more sushi from Eikos. Nice date night spot but skip the holiday menu
Staff was friendly and receiving. Food was well prepared and clean , food/flavor focused. Service was a bit scattered but we did enjoy the time spent.
