Mrs Riches Dinner Club Cafe - Nanaimo

Last night, we stumbled upon Mrs. Richies and decided to give it a try. I was looking for a family-friendly restaurant with a good burger, so I turned to Google and found Mrs. Richies. From the moment we walked in, we received a warm and friendly welcome that we really appreciated. Our waitress, Kimberly, was excellent. I tried the wonton soup and it was amazing! I also had the chicken cordon bleu burger and the bacon onion burger, both of which were delicious. The gravy and fries were incredible, and I plan on trying the poutine next time since I don't like coated fries and these were perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. My Caesar salad was also great. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and I left feeling happy, full, and satisfied.

Mrs Riches: They have very friendly service, good Covid precautions and a quiet setting. The K2 Burger Challenge is a thing to behold. If you can consume this violently large burger platter, you eat for free. Their polaroid wall of fame is like a gladiator memorial of failed hopefuls who flung their Pretorian hopes at this meat atrocity. Try it… with a defibrillator present and EHS Advanced Life Support on standby…. This enormous food platter needs only wheels to double as a meat chariot… or at least a bathtub. Bring your camera and call ahead for this burger (they need advanced notice). $67 if you can’t finish it. Meat sweats are free. We brought our burliest alpha male. He stacked his hopes high on this “burger” but only slayed 60% of it before adopting a curious sitting angle, pained facial expressions and a litany of excuses . I believe doctors call this “protein exhaustion”.

The burger I had was so juicy! I actually was not expecting that. A bit scary to get here if it's snowing, it's at the end of a very steep hill!

The restaurant is doing an outstanding job with incredible service and exceptional food.

The service at this restaurant is always top-notch. My friends and I make it a point to come here every year for my birthday dinner and it never fails to impress. The portions are generous, the staff is welcoming, the drinks are fantastic, and the atmosphere is always lively and enjoyable.
