Cala Carmen - Nagoya

Carmen is from Barcelona and has been running restaurant for a couple of decades. The black ink paëlla is delicious as the lamb, prawns and mushrooms ahijo. Don't forget the desert, it is also succulent.

Aside from paella, I didn’t really know much about Spanish cuisine, so I didn’t know what to order. but the food was deicious and had a very homey feel to them that was very much a comfort on a cold night. The draft beer+lemonade combo drink was also so so good. I should’ve gotten more and still gotten back to my hotel safely since it was on the same street.

El mejor restaurante español de Nagoya. Buena carta de vinos. El jamón, la tortilla de patatas y el pulpo espectacular. También la fideuá muy buena. Volveremos a probar la paella.

You can eat authentic paella. It is not all-you-can-drink, so the price is quite reasonable. Delicious but ordinary paella. Considering the noisyness of the store, the feeling that it is not calm in a。itude, the price is troublesome.

Owner was nice and she came out toward the end of the meal and asked if it was good. Son? as the waiter was impersonal and overall service was poor. Paella rice was mushy and definitely overpriced. Decor in the restaurant is fantastic. Good atmosphere and concept. Execution somewhat lacking. One and done for sure.
