Bidra med feedbackGreat wide selection of brunch plates. Try the poached eggs n biscuits. The nashville hot chicken n waffles was decent fresh but not crispy like one would expect. A softer, pillowy fried chicken and not really spicy. Good exotic macaroons!
Great food and okay environment. Someone was taking our photos without our permission for their Instagram.Wait staff said, “We don’t warm up syrup here.” I guess the “French” aren’t as fancy as ihop! The menu says “kid friendly” but they don’t have high chairs or a diaper changing table in the restroom. Ironically, someone else was allowed to have a kid watching tv in the office. I guess it’s kid friendly for VIP kids. They add on up charges for every little thing, so watch out!
I was recommended to eat here, but I am so disappointed, although there were some seats available, my family and I were denied seating, i asked the young lady in the front several times if a reservation was required and she politely kept telling us no, they obviously do not know how to be professional nor do business nor handle customers, really bad service, NEVER, EVER going back there again.
Hands down, marvelous place to eat in McAllen. The place gets pretty crowded so a reservation in advance is highly recommended. We came here for brunch, since we heard that they have Macaroons with special flavors like Mole or tamarind, which unfortunately are seasonal, but anyway we decided to try out a couple of dishes and some Macaroons. To drink we got a Mimosa and a Cold brew (made of Coffee from Chiapas, Mexico), both were extremely good. To eat we got the Barbacoa plate which was mixed with potatoes and a green salsa to die for and a couple of eggs on top (we asked them to be overeasy), it was extremely good . Moreover we got the Burger brunch which had a Wagyu patty and an overeasy egg as well, it came with a side of choice so we decided to get the normal french fries and OMG, best fries I've ever had (seriously), they were just cooked at the perfect point, not too salty, lightly crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Every single item was perfectly cooked and really well balanced in terms of flavors, without mentioning that the presentation was also very nice. As dessert we decided to get the macaroons, they had some interesting flavors, such as Lavander, Chiapas Coffee, Dark chocolate, Flaming Chocolate (which was some sort of smokey slightly spiced chocolate), goat cheese, red velvet and pistachio, all of them were pretty good although our favorite ones were goat cheese, dark chocolate and Lavander. Definitely we'll come back next time we visit McAllen.
The food was great! Had the salmon bagel with potatoes and the chicken biscuit with veggies and both were really good. The only knock about the service was having to wait until we were done with our meal for water refills. The iced coffee my wife ordered was also really good and the desserts were also good. It was a nice place and we'd like to go back to try more items from the menu.
