Oyster Club - MYSTIC

This spot is always busy because the food and service are so good! The menu changes often, which is nice because I get to try something new every time I come here! The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. We sat at the oyster bar and got to talking with the shucker, I think his name was Justin. He is the star of the show and was working his tail off the whole night, all the while still chatting with us. I can't recommend this place enough, it's one of my favorites.

SO glad we made a rez here for a little brunch reunion b/w fam in MA and fam in JRZ. Great oysters (a variety of locals), good cocktails, good beer, and a delicious brunch. Tuna melt, chowder, corn bread sourdough, salad with fluke. Staff was so nice patient with us, we took forever to order. A really fun spot, great looking, comfortable. Need to check out their Treehouse on the next visit. Recommended.

The carrots in brown butter soup were a hit, but the squid ink pasta was undercooked. The oyster casino was dry and could have used more red pepper. The green salad was boring and lacked enough blue cheese. However, the oysters were delicious, just be sure to specify clams when ordering instead of just a dozen from the raw bar. The cocktails were okay, but the wine list was impressive. The service was slow and uninspired.

I was here many years ago. This update related to happy hour only as we did not stay for dinner. Also wanted to address some of the bad reviews other Yelpers posted. First: we came on a Saturday in August and were happy to find that they still had the happy hour specials. It is from 4p-5p only Wednesday through Sunday. We had the Mussels, and waitress explained that they did not come with bread (which had prompted many poor reviews) so we added sourdough. We each had a dozen oysters (now $1.50 each, up from $1 each when I was here last). Topped off with $6 draft beer (porter). Everything was stellar. Also, we walked in at a few min after 4 with no reservation (as we were not having dinner). We sat inside with no wait. (Which many bad reviews mentioned). Some bad reviews mentioned that the burger was too small. Read the menu! It says 4 oz. That's small. You know going in. Some bad reviews mentioned poor service and ornery staff. We had no such experience. Everyone was super polite and helpful. We had initially planned on heading somewhere else after reading the bad reviews. So glad we didn't listen to the haters!!!

Extremely kind, excellent service, incredible atmosphere, I can't wait to go back! The oysters here are amazing and so are the staff members that provide incredible service. With ambience like that it's really a wonder why I've never gone to any other restaurant before this one for oysters. This is my official go to Spot now for oysters.
