Oscars @ the Workies Restaurant

Two adults and two young children stopped by this restaurant while traveling from Sydney to Tamworth. The venue was really lovely with super friendly staff. The dining room and restrooms were modern and clean. The menu looked good, but in my opinion, the food was a bit too fancy. The steak sandwich had coleslaw on it and the salmon poke bowl had a very unusual dressing that I couldn't finish. The special lamb cutlets were well seasoned, but some might say they were overcooked. I would come back to try other dishes and maybe enjoy a cocktail next time.

Registering was a bit frustrating because some machines were broken, but the staff were very friendly and pleasant when serving food. The food was delicious. I ordered flathead fillets, chips, and salad, and there was a generous amount of fish. The salad was fresh and crunchy with the perfect amount of dressing. Everyone in my group of ten was satisfied with the size and quality of their meals. I give it 5 stars.

The service at this restaurant was exceptional. They were able to accommodate us for food even though they were about to close, as we were passing through to Tamworth. Kesha and the kitchen manager were both fantastic! We were very grateful for a roast dinner to warm us up on this cold night.

The wine and beer had a good selection very good price as well. Food not a great variety and was average but overall still an enjoyable meal

Returned again to Oscars for dinner tonight. The restaurant was packed, but there was still seating available. When I went up to order, the waitress informed me there was a 30 minute wait for food. All good! Placed our order and 15 minutes later our entree arrived. Was yummy. We shared a pork belly bites. About 20 minutes later our mains arrived. My outback snitz was yummy and the steak my partner had was cooked to perfection. Food size of servings was huge, I couldn't eat all mine!! We will return the next time I'm in muswellbrook.
