Coastal Ale House Tavern

My husband and I visited for dinner, as we do from time to time. The waitress was very courteous. My husband ordered the meatloaf, and honestly, it tasted like a frozen Hungry Man meal; it was terrible. There's no way anyone could convince me it was homemade, especially for over $16. I was disappointed that he couldn't eat it. On the other hand, I had the fish and chips, which were quite good. Overall, I would rate this place a 4 mainly because of the waitress's kindness. But I'm also curious about the extra charge for using a credit card.

I’m sorry, but it seems like this place has its regular clientele and that’s about it. I dined here twice in three days while working nearby, and I can see why everyone at the bar is just drinking. The food leaves much to be desired. I ordered a quesadilla and steak with jalapeños on the side, but they packed it with tons of jalapeños in every bite! When I asked for salsa, I was told they were out—really? I was here two nights ago and ordered the seafood supreme dish; it was okay, but the shrimp and fish were burnt. Now, I'm sitting here with an empty beer, and it feels like I have to beg for the bill. Yep, I had to do that. If you want to drink, this might be the place for you, but I noticed no one at the bar was eating. And as for the tattooed bartender—let’s just say she’s not one to impress.

I really enjoy Coastal Ale House. Their trivia night on Wednesdays is the best I've experienced in the Conway area. However, there was one disappointing incident. I visited on a quiet Saturday night and had Ashley as my bartender. Though it wasn't busy—only about 20 people in the restaurant—she seemed overwhelmed and disorganized. She charged me for fries that I never received. I paid for them but didn’t want to argue since she appeared so stressed and confused with her register. I truly love Coastal Ale House, but I hope I don't have to encounter Ashley as a bartender again. I recommend coming for trivia night with Spencer on Wednesdays, but maybe skip the bar if Ashley is working.

Worst food ? I have eaten in 30 years or more!! Heavily battered seafood. Over half cooked. Absolutely terrible. If I had not been so hungry, I would have left!!Nothing else to add.Thank you.

If you want a place that makes you feel at home come here! Kurt (the owner) and his staff are amazing, professional and treat you with respect! This place has to be your next stop! Above all, the food was amazing and costly affordable for all. Jim and Amy!!
