To clarify, my issue isn’t with the quality of the food or drinks. I was offered a refund, but I declined because that wasn’t the problem. The main issue was that my online order didn’t inform me it would be delayed at the time of purchase. It felt like my online order was less important than walk-in orders, which was disappointing. I placed my order online to avoid waiting in a long line since I knew the place would be busy, and I really enjoy their coffee and food. The whole point of ordering online is to have the product ready, or at least in process, when I arrive. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. Even during peak times previously, I’ve never waited more than 15 minutes for my usual order: two lattes, one well-baked item, one plain bagel, and one everything bagel with bacon, egg, and cheese. So I was surprised when my order took 28 minutes to be fulfilled this time. I pre-ordered specifically to avoid waiting and to ensure my order didn’t get pushed to the back because it was just an online order. The issue is that the system didn’t inform me of a potential 30-minute wait until after I had paid, and that notification only came via email. Since I chose the ASAP option, I assumed my order would be handled promptly, not sidelined. I’m disappointed that your response seems to shift the blame onto me rather than acknowledging my feedback about the misleading nature of your online system. It feels like you’re treating me as just a disgruntled customer instead of addressing a genuine concern regarding how online orders are prioritized.

The coffee was surprisingly excellent, despite the lack of milk options. The cashier suggested an oat milk alternative, which was delicious. I plan to get my coffee here every day while we're in Moyock. However, my pastry was below expectations, so I have to give it 4 stars instead of 5. Although it looked fantastic, it was quite disappointing—too much sugar and more fluff than flour. While it had the appearance of a great French bakery pastry, it just didn't deliver. It was a complete letdown.

Delicious coffee and fantastic pastries! There are so many options to choose from. It was an excellent stop on our drive home to the north. We will certainly return! One suggestion I would have is to install a baby changing table.

This delightful little bakery and café serves breakfast and lunch and is conveniently located just off the main road. We decided to stop in for coffee and a light snack on our way back from the Outer Banks, and it proved to be a far superior choice to the fast food options available along the highway! The biscuits were wonderfully flaky and flavorful, and the coffee was outstanding.
