Mom’s Tacos - Mountain View

My family has been a regular customer for 8 to 9 years, and we absolutely love this place. The food is fantastic, and the service is both friendly and efficient. The cooks work quickly and quietly, almost as if they can read each other's minds. My personal favorite is the shrimp burrito. I even have friends who drive down from Palo Alto just to eat here. A major perk is that the horchata is made from scratch. While the ambiance isn’t anything special, you don’t come here for the atmosphere; it’s all about the delicious food.

The tacos here are fantastic—much better than anywhere else, far superior to El Grullense!

There's a big orange food truck parked at Rich's Tire Shop that serves quick Mexican food. I really love how generous they are with the veggies here—everything tastes even better with a heap of lettuce on top! The Asada tacos have great flavor, and the Pastor is highly recommended by my wife. The Suegra is essentially a quesadilla topped with a salad, which is fantastic—not fried like a taquito, just a straightforward quesadilla. The carnitas were good; I would definitely order them again. However, the chicken tostada was a bit bland, and I probably wouldn't reorder that.
