Avanti Cafe - Mount Prospect

My all time favorite Italian Cafe Restaurant in the burbs hands down. Best homemade pastas and living in Sicily, their Arancini's sure hit home. They serve delicious Gelato, Italian beers and fine wines as well! I always get their bow tie pasta with a side of meat all or Bolagnese with a bottle of red wine!

My husband took me for the first time. I got the portabella mushroom Tostino which was delicious! He got the roast beef and cheddar Tostino which he loved, bread was fresh too! We took home meatballs and cannoli which were awesome! Very welcoming owners. We'll be back!

A great Italian restaurant with great chef.Awesome food service. Nice customer service. Great place to talk gather with friends and have fun. Must go try and have it.

First time trying this restaurant- I will DEFINITELY be back. Prices are very, very reasonable for the quality and portion of authentic Italian dishes they serve. Generous portions, homemade sauces and pasta, and a huge selection of choices. I tried the cheese ravioli with vodka sauce and 2 meatballs- food came out quickly, piping hot, and everyone else with me loved their dishes as well: grilled panini, calzone, baked manicotti “to die for” and the chicken Avanti was “outstanding and fresh”. Service was prompt and friendly- great to find a small family owned business that does everything so well!!!

Amazing Italian restaurant reviews matched the quality of the food. Ordered a panini and a slice of pizza and they where both very good. They have other Italian dishes if im ever in the area will stop by give there pastas a try.
