Bidra med feedbackThe first time here will definitely be back. Really enjoyed the Café BLT and the Speck Ranch Potato Salad. Great atmosphere, a nice step back to time. Look forward to trying the baked goods.
I had a wonderful cup of coffee and a hearty chocolate chip cookie here on a rainy day with a large group of friends. Everything tasted great and the staff were friendly and patient as we crowded into the cozy shop on a rainy Saturday.
Travis created an incredible hummingbird cake for our wedding. It not only looked fantastic but also tasted absolutely delicious! Working with Village Bakery was a wonderful experience, and we look forward to using their services again in the future. Additionally, their regular café menu and desserts are always exceptional.
It's a bit on the expensive side, like most places in Charleston, but it's likely the best She-crab I've had. The sandwiches are great, and there's a friendly local atmosphere. One thing I did find off-putting was the automatic tip they included before we even received our food. Also, it was a bit odd when the person who brought my food offered napkins and utensils. Still, the food really is quite good.
One of the bakery’s standout features is that they’ve been fortunate to host one of the largest bakers in the Charleston area for over 10 years. If you order a slice of Travis Shy's famous coconut cake, prepare yourself for an experience of pure bliss — you won't be disappointed! Beyond his cakes, Travis also crafts delightful cookies, muffins, and an array of other baked goods. Planning a wedding? Don’t worry; he can turn your wedding cake dreams into reality. Craving something savory? The Village Bakery also offers a variety of homemade soups and sandwiches, ensuring there’s something for everyone, no matter your age. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, a stop at The Village Bakery is an absolute must!
