Bahn Kubo - Mount Gambier

I can't find anything to fault about our lunch experience here. The service from our waiter was outstanding; he explained everything thoroughly and even shared some jokes with us. The food was amazing and authentic. While the sauces were a bit too sweet for our taste, everything else was fantastic. My sister loved the roast pork, and for me, the highlight was the sago dessert—absolutely delicious!

Charming and intimate restaurant with exquisite Thai cuisine. It's perfect for enjoying a single dish or sharing a banquet with friends. The service is excellent, and I haven't been disappointed after visiting four times!

The restaurant may appear modest and straightforward, but it’s clean and well-kept. Our server, a delightful and vivacious woman, provided exceptional service that truly embodied the spirit of customer care. As for the food, we enjoyed a variety of dishes: pancit (a Filipino noodle dish), tender beef soup with sweet sauce served over rice, duck rice, and salt-and-pepper squid—all bursting with flavor. For dessert, we had Ginataang sago ice cream, which featured tapioca pearls, bits of jackfruit and banana in creamy coconut, all topped with ice cream. It was both beautiful and delicious. I’ll definitely return when I’m in Mount Gambier.

Great hospitality. Waiter was very welcoming and friendly. Food was great! However, I find the egg noodles tasteless and felt that it should come served with soy gravy or at least some seasoning. And the tofu’s peanut sauce was not that great. I would prefer it to be sweet and spicy. Overall, I enjoyed my dinner and worth the price. I highly recommend.

I travel all over the state and I must say this is one of the best places I’ve come across, the food is exceptionally well made and tasty , friendly staff as well . Well done
