Fire Oak Montvale

Wasn't impressed with the food. We shared a $20+ rainbow roll that was eh. Tuna tartare was good but came pre-prepared on chips. Wasn't a lot of it. Salmon in coconut broth was good but a little fishy.

I recently dined at your restaurant and wanted to share my feedback. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was amazing. However, I was a bit disappointed that despite mentioning my birthday while making the reservation, no one offered a dessert or acknowledged the occasion. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to visiting again.

Food was not piping hot. Server was a bit pushy with ordering g. It was almost annoying. He had zero personality. I was entertaining Executives from Rockland and was hopi g for a better experience. I had a better experience 4 mo this ago.

Our waitress did not come over at all. After waiting 5 minutes before finding another waitress, we had to ask her to please send our waitress over which took an additional 2-3 minutes. Out waitress should have been to our table before almost 8 minutes to see how our food was to find out that it was too rare (one steak should have been medium rare and one medium . I do not like sending food hack but I just had to and I do not like bothering other waitstaff to add another job to their plate by asking to send the waitress over. Once our food was brought over, she did not once come and ask if how food was better, did not ask if we would like a refill on our drinks (water glasses and diet coke glass sat there empty , and we spent a lot of time waiting around for the check. I do not go out to eat often at all so ordering dessert is usually on the menu. I was seated at 6:45 and by 8:15, we were still there, waiting... a party of 2. At that point, our dining experience just was not fun anymore. Once our food was cooked the way we liked it, it did taste how we liked it (minus how fatty the steak was. .

The lighting in the front could be better and the noise level is high but food is fantastic, server was great and friendly and atmosphere was lovely.
