Pepe's Mexican - Montrose

So far the best Mexican food around, i like how clean and open it looked compare to other mexican restaurants . usually they are over decorated with ton of dust on them). They have a good service and fast. Also the prices are fair. They offer pretty good drinks with good price and food is tasty and fresh too.

This friendly neighborhood gem serves up delicious food at affordable prices, making it a favorite amongst locals. I went during lunch and hey had a good crowd. What a deal! I ordered 2 ground beef hard shell tacos a la carte. For just $7, you get a massive hard-shell taco loaded with your choice of flavorful fillings like chicken or beef. The shells are perfectly crispy, the meat is cooked to juicy perfection, and the toppings are fresh and plentiful. It's a meal in itself and a steal for the price! I'm definitely coming back for a lunch under $10.

The chorizo on the molcajete had a kick. The chicken was done to perfection. The margarita was delicious, the piña colada was sweet and delicious. The staff was attentive and courteous. The atmosphere is family friendly. No wonder this restaurant has been around since 1970. They do it right.

Growing up in Texas, I always have had a taste for Tex-Mex, and I enjoy Pepe's version of it a lot! I ordered the two item combo with shredded beef taco, ranchera chicken enchilada, Mexican rice and frijoles de la olla, and everything was tasty! They are often busy and the restaurant can get a bit noisy and lively but it's a fun atmosphere and the staff is always nice and attentive.

I can't get enough of this place! Their chips and salsa come our so fresh!! The chips always warm and perfectly salted and the salas is so fresh with chucks of veggies. Taco Tuesday is a must!! Their crispy tacos are stuff and loaded with meat lettuce tomato and mile high shredded cheese. My favorites are the shredded chicken and beef. They also have street style tacos with asada, chicken and other types of meat. Their beans and rice are great and authentic. I also love their fajitas! They come with a variety of veggies piled high on a smoking hot cast iron pan!! If you are in the area and are looking for some delicious Mexican food dont look any further!
