Don Jilberto Mexican Food - Montrose

Oh my gosh. SO good!!! We’re from West Texas and were craving some good mexican food and this place did not disappoint. They even have the authentic Mexican sodas!!We got the huevos rancheros plate for breakfast and we HIGHLY recommend. The flour tortilla was bigger than my head (and definitely seemed house made). Will definitely be returning next time through.

Well made and grilled chorizo and egg breakfast burrito. I will make this stop again for a breakfast burrito.

Terrible service. The food is more or less but what ruins it for you is the rude service?‍? you ask for extra sauce and it seems like you offended the lady. Name... better go somewhere else ?‍?

We live in Montrose and Mexican food is our favorite. I have tied this place several times hoping I'll see a difference with the atmosphere and attitude of the server and cook. This last time I ate there was the worst! The carneta meat taisted old and cooked in old oil. Getting extra salsa Roja was like asking for a large amount of money or something. They are very rude and they do not like it if you ask for more salsa or anything for that matter. After several visits I came to the conclusion that there are many other mexican restaurants in Montrose that are more pleasant, the food is better and the service is better and you are treated better than this place. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. We'll never go back.
