Bidra med feedbackThe restaurant is in a fantastic location with a great view of downtown. The room was quite good and we booked it during Just for Laughs because it was conveniently located in the center of everything.
This old hotel is awful. The carpets in the hallways are dirty and have a bad smell. I had to try twice with a key that didn't work to get into the Superior Room they assigned me...
I would not recommend this hotel. The room we stayed in had several issues. The coffee machine was not functioning, and both the toilet and faucet made odd noises. The staff...
So Old Montreal is a tourist trap. We carefully avoided another restaurant which looked tempting but was poorly reviewed on TripAdvisor. But we made a mistake and ventured in here having not seen the reviews. The staff were fine, but the food was a real let down. I had pizza, but it was more like cheese on toast. My partner was no happier with his meal. Easily our most disappointing dining experience in Montreal. One to avoid.
Stopped here for lunch on a day when it was a bit too cold to sit on the outdoor deck -- the restaurant is on a pedestrian-only street in Old Montreal, which is lovely, so would have been nice to be outside. The indoor seating was okay -- not great -- the tables were a bit too close to one another. My wife had the lobster roll, which she loved; I had the ham sandwich, which was so-so (okay, I ordered poorly). The wine pours were good (not great). And the service was (again) adequate -- not great, not terrible. We probably would have had a better experience on the deck, where we would have been able to people watch. As I recall the tip was automatically added to the bill (one of the few places where we dined), so be careful not to double up.
