Nyk's Bistro Pub - Montréal

This restaurant falls somewhere between Average and Very Good on Trip Advisor's scale, but I would lean towards calling it a Good place. It was our first night in Montreal and we were pleasantly surprised to find an open-air pub that was bustling with friendly energy. Despite the crowd, we were seated promptly, our waitress was welcoming, and the food was delicious. My husband enjoyed the poutine, my son had a salad, and I opted for the shrimp curry special.

Mid afternoon with only a few tables and two servers. Took forever to be acknowledged as a customer. Server served larger party who arrived after me. Food wasn’t great. If you find yourself walking by…. Keep on walking.

Perfect for a fun night out. The restaurant was bustling and loud, but in a good way. The service was exceptional, even with the place being full. We ordered the mussels and found them to be satisfactory. The portions were generous and definitely worth returning for.

Food and service were both really good! We came for dinner prior to a theatre performance. Service was efficient, but not rushed. The food was very good (examples are the French onion soup and the gravlax). We'd come back!

We came across this place by chance when extremes hungry which is often a mistake not in this case. My fish and chips was great with moist meaty fish and my wife’s seafood chowder was the best she’s ever had. Deserving of business do eat here Rob
