Pain & Cie - Montpellier

Only went for breakfast, but I would not go again as I felt it was too expensive for what I got, considering what you can get in other restaurants. The only thing that was really nice was the chocolate spreads(+jam) you get with your bread....If you love Chocolate, might be the place to go.

Unbelievable how everything outside a city closes between 2pm and 7pm in France. That „struggle for food“ brought us to this cute little place which offered a nice variety of food. Unfortunately, we could not resist the pastry which caused us to end up well...‚overfed‘ and ‚oversugared‘... But it sure was a satisfying experience.

We stumbled across this awesome place whilst having a wander round Montpellier. My partner asked for a table for 2 in French and we were seated straight away. The menu was in French but that didn't stop us from ordering. We both ordered a glass...of red wine and then 2 different salads. The wine came quickly with some still water. Then our huge salads arrived not long after. Wow, they were just marvellous. The salad was so fresh and was rather tasty. The service was excellent and the food was just as good. It was very busy when we arrived so we knew we were in the right place. Would most certainly eat here again.

This was probably the worst food we have ever eaten out and certainly in France. Both dishes, one meat one vegetarian, were awful and amateurish, possibly all brought in and pre prepared. A vegetarian platter was an assortment of basic crudities and a couple of...pots of dips and a bowl of salad leaves with no dressing, which we had to ask for. The table next to us had to go and get oil and vinegar from another table for their salad. It seemed unlikely there is much actual cooking going on in this restaurant. With imagination a simple vegetarian platter can be so much more but this place seems to lack imagination. The meat dish was as disappointing. Needs more thought and love.

Merci à la congélation - La viande est dure, les légumes paraissent peu frais. Pas à mon goût, il y a mieux à ce prix là à Montpellier
