Loulou's Griddle In The Middle

Absolutely amazing! This restaurant is a gem. The food was delicious and the location on the old Fisherman's Wharf is just perfect. The staff is friendly and engaging. I'll definitely be making this my go-to breakfast spot whenever I visit the beautiful town of Monterey.

I had the best breakfast I've ever experienced here. Every item on the menu is impeccable. The wait is absolutely worth it, and the prices are reasonable. The ambiance and food are both exceptional. It's a pleasure to witness true professionals in action, both in the kitchen and in the dining area.

I went there for breakfast and found the restaurant to be lively, filled with locals enjoying their meals. I ordered the staff-recommended fruit-filled pancakes, cinnamon French toast, coffee, and orange juice. I had seen pictures before, but the pancakes were impressively large—enough for two adults to share. The fruit added a nice tanginess that kept it from being monotonous. The cinnamon French toast, drizzled with honey, was perfectly tasty. The coffee was just right, not too bitter, and quite enjoyable. The staff were friendly and provided excellent service. If you’re in Santa Cruz, I highly recommend trying their pancakes!

Repeater. Excellent food and fantastic staff—funny and lively atmosphere, though it can get quite busy. The restaurant is popular, so it tends to be crowded, but delicious food attracts a crowd. The wait is definitely worthwhile, as the quality of the dishes is outstanding and the service is exceptional. We make a point to visit LouLou's Griddle House once a year.

The staff was incredibly friendly and the food was absolutely fresh. Sitting at the counter gave us a great view of everything happening in the kitchen. I just wish I had more appetite to sample more seafood dishes. The calamari was quite filling, as was the appetizer portion. We visited during a busy lunch hour, so the service was a bit slower than usual, but I look forward to returning the next time I'm in the area!
