Bidra med feedbackMy partner had the grilled scallops, which were inconsistent in quality. The sautéed vegetables were actually the highlight of the dish. I opted for the linguini with clams; it was okay, but the clams were chewy and didn’t come in their shells, which made me suspect they might have been canned. Our total came to around $100 for the two entrees, sodas, and tip. Honestly, you can find much better options at the wharf for less money. I recommend sticking with the clam chowder from the stand next to the host station and enjoying it on the wharf like we did the night before. Overall, our second night was a letdown.
The best clam chowder in the world! It was incredibly delicious, and the sourdough bowl was just as fantastic. As someone visiting from the Bay Area, I didn’t expect to find the best clam chowder outside of my hometown, but wow! They definitely have it here.
I was just waiting there, and nobody acknowledged us. The guy behind the counter didn’t even make eye contact. So long!
This is a fantastic restaurant. I really appreciate that they employ older, experienced waiters who can anticipate your needs before you even realize them. The clam chowder is among the best I've ever tasted. I ordered the seafood pasta, which included clams and lobster, for about $50, and it was enough food for more than one person. My wife enjoyed the sea bass immensely. We sat upstairs by the window and had a pleasant view of the seals playing in the bay. It was a fun and enjoyable experience. As we walked around afterward, we noticed that other restaurants were nearly empty. This place definitely lives up to its great reputation.
Classic Wharf Restaurant: A Perfect Experience! Our waiter, Pablo, was fantastic, and we were fortunate to be seated by the window with a lovely view of the water and the sea lions. The clam chowder was traditional and delicious, and the grilled, marinated local artichoke was exceptional. My husband really enjoyed his fish special entrée while I relished the prawn cocktail. With big band music playing softly in the background and a red rose given to us upon departure, the whole experience felt truly special and indulgent.
