Bidra med feedbackI was stuck in Mont de Marsan for several hours and unable to get around due to a sprained ankle. This seems the only place nearby open for lunch. The choices were few, but just what I needed. Good value for a small price. I had crudites, a faux filet and frites, a gateau basque, wine and coffee for EUR13. The bread and vegetables we're fresh, the steak cooked to my liking and the manager allowed me to charge my phone and use his wifi. I was quite pleased.
We stopped for lunch after we drove by looking for another TA suggestion. The place was packed with locals of all kinds enjoying the menu de jour. That was pretty much the only choice, or so we could deduce, for lunch. We were pleasantly surprised with the faux filet, amazing carrots and fries. Our service was great and the place was also very local futball and bull ring sports themed. We would recommend to anyone passing through!
Four of us stopped here to eat for a quick lunch on a Saturday in June. Although it was already very busy (it was after 1.00pm which is late by French standards for lunch) they very quickly found us a table. We were very happy to just have the set lunch menu which offered five courses including wine for just 12 euros each! The food was excellent for what it is (good local food, well cooked and simply presented) and our companions, who can be a bit fussy with food, thought it was very good. The 5 courses were soup, chef's salad with melon, choice of steak or braised ham with mushroom sauce, both with potatoes and vegetables, cheese and dessert Staff were friendly and quick despite a full restaurant. We will definitely return and as it is very close to the bull ring and other sports stadia it is a good place to eat before the rugby, etc
Voici un lieu qui a changé d'âme avec l'arrivée de Jean Claude : cela fait un moment déjà mais c'est primordial dans une affaire comme celle ci. On est bien quand il est là et il nous fait du bien : sympa, jovial, altruiste : c'est un commerçant dans l'âme. Le reste est anecdotique mais il sait faire des efforts sur les produits qu'il nous sert. On reste dans de la brasserie/bistrot mais c'est fait avec l'envie de faire plaisir.
Débordé pendant les fêtes les assiettes arrivent froides brochettes de cœur de canard harchi cuites le Tourin insipide il semble que le poulet fermier et les calamars étaient de meilleure facture.A revoir car ce n'était peut être pas le jour
