Bidra med feedbackThis is a beautiful restaurant and a beautiful location on the village square. We were only offered the set menu that was presented to us on a board. The appetizers and desserts were beautiful, but the steak was really fat and there was not much meat to eat... actually eat. I know the French like their meat quite rarely, but the waiter asked if we want it rare or medium. We chose medium, but even then our plates float in the blood. One of us chose the burger and that was just ok, but nothing special.
We went last week and ordered the 25E Plat du Jour (which included no wine). The appetizers and deserts were nice, but the steak was terrible. They are proud of the fact that the steak comes from a farm 2miles away, but to be honest... they are not good quality, in fact we noticed another table order a big steak and they could not eat it, fat drops on the ladies dress and flies round and a very hard massive steak, there are much better restaurants to eat in France to be honest.
We went to lunch on Saturday, February 12th. The first thing to beat us was the ambience, the mood, the feeling in the restaurant. We immediately knew we had made the right choice. Beautiful BIG open fireplace, plus the vine grows in the room... is exceptional! Apparently the oldest vine in France! A warm welcome, excellent service and fantastic food, accompanied by a very good bottle of wine. We will definitely return, often.
Great character place for a real feed. Obviously Beef oriented although Gambas are on offer and other things.
