Genusa's Italian - Monroe

The food was excellent, the staff was very friendly, and the atmosphere was quiet. Exactly what we needed for a date night to enjoy each other's company and have a nice conversation without distractions. We will be back and I definitely recommend to anyone looking for a nice quiet dinner. Try the duck appetizer; it was delicious.

Really good food, excellent service and atmosphere!

We were only in Monroe for the night as we were traveling through, and just wanted a decent dinner. We called ahead to be sure they were open and that we didn't need a reservation. Walking into the charming restaurant we were transported away from the stress of driving through severe weather for hours. The atmosphere was romantic but not so dimly lit that reading the menu was difficult. The service was attentive, but not intrusive. And the food, the food was wonderful. I had manicotti and my husband had spaghetti and meat sauce, and both were superb. I wish we were able to return and try some of their meat and fish dishes, they looked wonderful as well. I highly recommend!
