Bidra med feedbackI visited Chili's on Saturday night, 01-09-2016, for dinner. Right from the start, I knew it was going to be a bad experience. When I walked in, I noticed used napkins, paper covering off straws, and food on the floor where customers were eating. As I waited for a table, I asked the hostess why the floor was so dirty, and someone finally came out to clean it. I didn't even bother asking for the manager, as I saw him walking through the trash on the floor as well. After waiting for 20 minutes, a table opened up near the bar, but with my three children with me at 8:00 at night, I refused the seat and opted to wait for a table on the opposite side of the bar. After another 15 minutes, the hostess led me back to the bar area, but I insisted on being seated elsewhere. Finally, after another 15 minutes of waiting, I was seated between the bathroom and kitchen. The chaotic scene in the kitchen, with food all over the floor and people stepping on it while preparing food, was a major turn-off for me. I couldn't bring myself to sit down and eat there. As I left, the hostess seemed confused by my decision, but I explained that the restaurant was just too dirty for me to eat there. It's a shame that nice restaurants seem to be lacking in Monroe, N.C., with a choice between bad food or terrible service.
I went to Chili's on Saturday night, January 9th, 2016 for dinner. It was a disappointing experience from the start. Upon entering, I noticed napkins, paper covering straws, and food on the floor where customers eat. When I asked the hostess about the dirty floor, someone came to clean it, but I could tell they were not happy about it. I also saw the manager walking around the garbage on the floor. After waiting 20 minutes for a table near the bar, where I did not want to sit with my three kids, I requested to sit on the opposite side. After another 15 minutes of waiting, the hostess tried to seat me at the bar despite my repeated requests not to sit there. Eventually, I was seated between the bathroom and kitchen where I could see into the hectic kitchen with food on the floor and people standing in it during food preparation. This was such a chaotic and unsanitary environment that I couldn't bring myself to eat there. When I informed the hostess that I couldn't stay, she didn't seem to understand. This experience was just bad, and I couldn't eat there. This Chili's location in Monroe, N.C. seems to consistently offer either bad food or terrible service, with no middle ground.
The food, service, and atmosphere at this restaurant are excellent. We have dined here multiple times in the past few months and have thoroughly enjoyed our experience each time.
