Bidra med feedbackIt was better in the past! We paid over £16 for 2 burgers and 2 cans of drink, which were not up to par. Additionally, they ran out of napkins. If it was working fine before, there was no need to make changes.
The coffee was terrible and the service was extremely slow, with no signs of friendliness or manners. It's disappointing because the place has a lot of potential, but I wouldn't return.
I have been a customer at Ryka's for many years, but the new owners have unfortunately not lived up to the quality of food that the previous management provided. The prices are quite high, not quite fair for what you are getting. The burgers are subpar and the hot dog was disappointing with a hard texture and a bun that didn't fit properly. The menu also lacks options like fish, which used to be available under the previous management. Despite this, the new owners have made some improvements to the building and grounds. If you are looking for good food, it may be best to look elsewhere. However, if you are seeking a nice atmosphere to socialize or go for walks in the local area, Ryka's can still be an enjoyable spot. Hopefully, the new management will address issues like ineffective taps and poor hand dryers in the restrooms.
I have been coming to Rykas Cafe for the last 20 years and for the most part the food has been great and reasonably priced, but since the new owners have taken over its gone downhill fast!! No longer can you get a double bacon burger for say £4.80, now all you get is a Steak Burger for double that price!! It was about the same size as a Maccy D 's cheeseburger, what a rip-off. It literally looked as if someone had sat on the burger before handing it to me! As others have suggested, you 're better off going two miles down the road to Dorking and find a decent cafe or pub to have a meal. I really wish I 'd taken a photo now just to prove how bad it was.
Should’ve read bad reviews before ordering food there. We got a squashed burger and burnt paninis, which we only eat as we were very hungry and it was too busy to complain… Unless you’ve got another business at Ryka’s I’d recommend driving few more miles and eat something decent in Dorking.
