Bright Star Winery - Moira

I was very disappointed. We went there for a wine tasting, but it turned out to be just choosing something from the menu, paying for it, and then sitting outside.

A hidden gem! We were searching for a winery in the area and stumbled upon this one during a reunion event. It felt like a family-run establishment, and everyone was friendly and welcoming, allowing us to sample the wines before committing to a full glass. We ended up purchasing two bottles, one red and one white. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

The wine slushy was delicious, and the wines were exceptional—especially the blueberry and raspberry, which would also appeal to beer drinkers since they had some beer on tap as well. There were other beverage options available too. They had a table with snacks, providing something for everyone to enjoy. Our visit coincided with their grand reopening, which featured live entertainment. It was lovely to sip our wine outdoors while listening to live music and enjoying the company of good friends! The owners were also fantastic, checking in regularly to see if we needed refills or more snacks. We felt so well taken care of! The flavored wine slushies came in fruit punch and tropical punch, both of which were outstanding. I love to give great reviews to places that truly deserve it. The winery has done a great job of COVID proofing their establishment. Lots of fire tables and heaters keep the deck cozy on fall nights. Wine, slushies, beer, and cocktails were available. Really enjoyed our evening there.

Sunshine is my favorite white wine at this sweet family owned and operated winery. The small plates are a lovely complement to the drinks!
