1877 Pasta & Wine Bar - MODBURY

The team of adelaide food central has delayed in the Italian kitchen. for the carb charge of this week we drove the north east road into the park suites and congress center of sfera to feed in their restaurant, 1877 pasta wine bar. we had to get rid of our belts with an innumerable Italian taste sensations!

Left before the order of food we had a booking for 4, while I waited for our friends I ordered a cocktail and my man ordered a glass rose, my cocktail came out and our friends came out later angry. 40 minutes later the glass of rose comes out and our friends were not offered a drink, after which this is after waiting 40 minutes! we then prompted the lifeless waitress, who from the glass of rose to take drinks orders and we wanted to order our meal times, we received the answer from I can take their drinks orders but someone else will take their meal order . there was no sense of urgency to pick someone to order our meal times. My partners mother and it was so disappointing. I called and made a booking on Tuesday and i got the date wrong so i called and cancelled my Tuesday booking and made one for Friday. The guy i talked to didn't cancel by booking on Tuesday.I asked for a table near the window as my partners mother has been wanting to go there for 2 years but we were in the corner not what the guy said we were sitting. When we got there a staff member sat us down and gave us menus but when we asked about the menu she didn't know much about the menu or the pasta. After our last experience we had to come back, decided on the seafood share platter with oysters, calamari, octopus and salmon. Seafood was all perfect, a great way to start. I chose the lamb cutlets for main which were perfect while my wife had the seafood gnocchi, both were tasty and good size portions. Although we were nicely full we couldn't refuse the lemon tart, DELICIOUS. we will back again

Exceptional Service. Went to 1877 pasta Wine Bar for our wedding anniversary last night and was very pleasantly surprised how good the service was. Food was excellent, more expensive than a pub meal, but the quality and presentation of food was first rate. The thing that really impressed us was the friendliness and attentiveness of ALL staff looking after us. Would definately come back again. Michelle T-H
